Middletown Township Initiative

Summary:

The Delco Skatepark Coalition has been working closely with the Middletown Township Parks & Recreation Department. Middletown Township has over 512 acres of parkland available for use and our goal is to provide residents with more avenues for active recreation. We put out a survey to show support for building more skateparks in Delaware County and we received over 1,200 signatures - 450 signatures were from the 19063 zip code showing an overwhelming need for this initiative. The township has now included a skatepark in their official Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan. Our goal is to bring Pennsylvania’s first truly ADA accessible skatepark to Middletown Township.

Pop-Up Skatepark:

The Delco Skatepark Coalition and Middletown Township will be hosting a pop-up skatepark on Saturday, November 5th. There will be local vendors, food trucks, prize raffles and much more. Come out and join us to show Middletown Township that you support building a world class ADA accessible Skatepark.
